CHATGPT IN SPANISH COLLEGE CLASSES: IS IT BENEFICIAL FOR LISTENING, SPEAKING, READING AND WRITING SKILLS?

Abstract:
ChatGPT and or Artificial Intelligence (AI) have been used widely in many educational programs, institutions, and classes during the past 3 years. However, there is still debate on whether we should use it in language learning classes in higher education (Martínez et. al 2023; Nugroho et. Al 2023). This work will cover research done in a college in Texas, USA and some of the benefits of using it in Spanish classes at the college level. The results proved to be useful in reading and writing skills. It also includes some examples on how to use the Artificial Intelligence (AI) or ChatGPT in Spanish classes in listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and culture.
