Oedipus has been proved to be one of the timeless and greatest plays which was written by Sophocles. However, Oedipus becomes a controversial role in it. He kills his father and sleeps with his mother, becomes the ruler of the kingdom, fulfils the foretell. However, he should be seen as a scapegoat as his life is predetermined by the God.
